Volunteering and bringing awareness to deserving charities and organizations is something I am passionate about. My entire family gets involved. These types of lessons (acts of kindness and compassion) cannot be taught from a book, they must be experienced.
With that said, instead of a holiday gift guide on The Unemployed Mom, I plan to focus on 30 Days of Caring.
For 30 days, I will share ways you, your family, coworkers, groups, etc. can get involved and make a difference. Since some of these are holiday specific, I am starting the posts today (November 20th).
Please keep in mind, many charities receive the most assistance during the holidays so consider helping out year-round and not just during the months of November and December.
Join me and show you are participating by using hashtag #30DaysofCaring when sharing your photos and activities via social media.
Together we CAN make a difference. Please help spread the word.
