I don’t know about you, but I appreciate toys that allow my kid to stretch his imagination and teach him about the real heroes in our community. Playskool has an Adventure Heroes line of toys that allow children to have a sneak peak into the world of being a fire fighter or police officer.
My 2 1/2 year old was ecstatic when we received the “Playskool Adventure Heroes Police HERO ON-THE-GO Pack” to review. He could not wait for me to open the package so he could start playing. Basically, it is a police theme pack that your child can take along for hours of entertainment. Last night, my son played with it for 2 hours straight then it was time to go to bed. When he woke this morning, it was the first thing he begged for. This toy is a hit in our home!
The backpack straps are adjustable, so we were able to fit it just perfectly. But that didn’t stay on long, he was ready to open the pack and discover what was inside! The badge is a lot of fun with lights and sound, he gives that a lot of attention. He enjoys pushing the various buttons that make noises and light up. The toy also has an on/off switch so the battery life can be preserved.
The inside converts into a police station command center, complete with police officer action figure and cruiser. My son loves pushing the cruiser up the ramp. He is also into all the details and has been pointing out all the new features he discovers. It also has an action grabber accessory, but my son has a difficult time using that.
What I love most about this toy is the fact my son can pretend he is a real hero, a police officer. He always gets excited when he hears a siren or sees a cruiser, so now he can bring that into his world every single day with this play set.
I was afraid he wouldn’t understand the toy since it is for ages 3 and up; however, at 2 1/2 he was able to open the pack and set up the command center all on his own.
DO YOU WANT TO WIN ONE? Hasbro has agreed to give one lucky reader a Police HERO-ON-THE-GO pack! Mandatory entry: Tell me who you would give this toy to.
