Lifestyle Changes #Medifast Weeks 13 & 14

I have been strapped for time and my blog has been quiet lately. For my last update, I shared how important it is to celebrate victories along the way (for a reminder, click here).

If you have been following along, you know I am an optimistic person. This adventure has been about finding balance and focusing on positive health aspects, which I have conquered. Sure, I have splurged here and there, but I have not dwelled on that. Instead, I keep putting one foot in front of the other and reaching for my ultimate goal.

Last week, I was fairly laid back when it came to following my eating plan (no, I didn’t eat everything in sight, I still made relatively healthy choices). While this is not something I recommend for a long span of time, I personally think it was a good change for my body. It’s mid-April and I have already recorded 20 running miles (and I’m about to add to that as soon as this is published)! To be honest, running makes me hungrier and extra protein/calories is necessary.

Slow and steady … I will finish this race. 

I have made lifestyle changes and that is most important to me. As for the scale, I have not seen any changes since my week 12 post. Personally, I am not upset. I didn’t expect to see a drop in weight, but in my opinion not gaining is a win!

Speaking of lifestyle changes, check out these beautiful organic tomatoes from my garden! While picking these, I looked over and noticed my son had eaten all the broccoli florets that we had grown! That right there is a total win, I couldn’t pick out a better snack for him!


Month 1: down 13.6 lbs

Month 2: down 6.2 lbs

Month 3: down 3 lbs, lost 2.25 inches

Weeks 13 & 14: no scale change

Total weight loss to date: 21.8 lbs

Total inches lost to date: 21.25 inches
