Dining Out On #Medifast Week 6

Dining Out On #Medifast Week 6

So after I hit a plateau last week and lost 0 lbs, I was in a bit of a funk. I decided I wasn’t going to let the scale impact me negatively, so I went running. I literally published my week 5 update and hit the track for a 5 mile jog! It felt amazing.

This past week, I had family visiting which changed my routine. I was still very active (a lot more walking and yard work versus track time) but I also found myself dining out 3 times this week (which is rare for me). I hit some old favorites, but still remained extremely disciplined when it came to choosing a Medifast approved Lean and Green (this guideline is always handy to reference).

I even had one of my favorites while in Tampa…crab legs (steamed, no butter)! Instead of eating the corn and potatoes that came with it, I opted for a side salad with dressing on the side (so I can control how much dressing I consume). It was absolute perfection and I smiled the entire time eating because the food was SOOOOO delicious AND healthy.

So, after eating out and having family in town, how’d I do? I dropped another 3.2 lbs! My BMI is back in a healthy range, which was of utmost importance to me. I’m more than 1/2 way to my goal weight and feeling awesome.

Month 1: down 13.6 lbs, lost 14.5 inches

Week 5: No weight loss or gain

Week 6: – 3.2 lbs

Total loss to date: 16.8 lbs
