CureSearch For Children’s Cancer – Orlando Walk

This past weekend, I participated in the 2011 CureSearch Orlando walk to help end pediatric cancer. To say it was an emotional experience is an understatement. To see the brave little ones who are currently battling cancer or have defeated the beast introduce themselves and receive their medals was moving. These children are true heroes! There was even a butterfly release ceremony for children who have lost the battle. To see those 100 butterflies flying free sent chills down my spine!

The children who were well enough to walk led the entire group around Lake Eola. Take a look at how many people showed up to show their support! We stretched more than half way around Lake Eola! Also, the Orlando event raised almost $80,000!

Below are some additional photos.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank my loved ones who supported me. I am overwhelmed by the friends and family members who donated to this amazing cause. Together, we can help end pediatric cancer!
