If you live in the Orlando area, mark your calendars for Nathaniel’s Hope 9th Annual Make ‘M Smile Community Festival Celebrating Kids With Special Needs. This heart felt event takes place at Lake Eola on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 7:30 am – 1:00 pm.
Last year by chance, my son and I were able to participate. This year, we have already registered to be volunteers!
How can you join the fun?
- Come as a VIP KID and be a honored guest! VIP Kids are any kids with special needs which includes any physical, cognitive, medical or hidden disability, chronic or life-threatening illness, or those who are medically fragile. This day is for YOU!
- Come as a BUDDY and be a friend! Buddies are individuals, couples and/or families that want to “Be a Buddy” and engage in friendship with a VIP Kid and their family. Buddies will be buddied up with VIP Kids and families to stroll around Lake Eola.
- Come as a VOLUNTEER and serve at the festival! There are a variety of volunteer opportunies such as buddy photographer, greeters, food & drink, stage, setup. Visit the website to register and for additional details.
