Today is the anniversary of the 9/11/01 tragedy and I am sure we can all remember exactly where we were when we learned about the terrorist attacks on the United States of America. I remember being dazed and confused trying to comprehend how someone could intentionally kill thousands of innocent lives. That day changed me, I realized life cannot be taken for granted because tomorrow is not promised!
The workers at the Pentagon and Twin Towers, pilots and crew onboard the hijacked planes, law officials and fire fighters who battled the terror were just going to work as they did every single day. Little did they know that morning would be the last time they kissed and hugged their families. All those passengers onboard the hijacked planes who just wanted to safely arrive at their destination never in a million years could have imagined what was about to take place.
I try to put myself in the shoes of those who lost their loved ones on that horrific day and my heart just aches for each and every one of them.
For those personally impacted by this tragedy, may God bring peace and healing to you and your family. To those who protect our country, thank you for all you do! You are true heros! We will never forget 9/11!
