In the past, I have blogged about the Mended Little Hearts chapter in my hometown of Winchester, Virginia. I am so proud of what they have become! Mended Little Hearts is a support group for parents of children with heart disease and heart defects. This group is simply amazing! In addition to bringing awareness to the community, they have also been busy organizing charity events and delivering care bags to hospitals. Such an inspiring group!

Recently, they reached out to me about sharing this free virtual support group called Treatment DiariesTreatment Diaries is a social network for people suffering from, living with or caring for someone with a chronic illness or rare disease. This community is a supportive sounding board where people share experience and advice. Treatment Diaries offers a safe place to anonymously keep multiple diaries of your daily journey, across more than one condition – either privately or shared out with others, allowing for shared coping strategies, support for others and the exchange of information.

This site was inspired by REAL stories of people struggling with chronic conditions and in desperate need of support. Their goal is to connect people facing similar circumstances and facilitate the sharing of valuable information and support at every stage of an illness through wellness!

Treatment Diaries is constantly adding conditions and the online support group is available 24/7. As mentioned above, users can remain anonymous while receiving support from other users.

You can also join the Treatment Diaries facebook page and follow them on Twitter.

One of the founding moms from Mended Little Hearts of Winchester uses Treatment Diaries and has found the oldest living person with her son’s condition! How exciting and amazing!

Make sure to check out Treatment Diaries and share the site with friends and family members who could benefit from this valuable resource.
