ALERT: Maclaren Stroller Recall
by The Unemployed Mom on 09/11/09 at 1:16 pm
This morning I heard some very disturbing news about Maclaren strollers and how they are recalling one million strollers. This recall includes all collapsible strollers built between 1999 and 2009! What is the reason for the recall? Because 12 children have lost their finger tips in the hinges! My question to Maclaren is this, did it really take 12 children losing body parts before your company decided to recall the products? Unbelievable! The first time you learn that a child’s finger is amputated as a result of your stroller hinges, you need to put out a notice to let parents know!
If you own a Maclaren stroller, stop using IMMEDIATELY and contact Maclaren for the free repair kit. Unfortunately, their website has crashed, but you can contact Maclaren USA at (877) 688-2326 for additional information.
