THE FLORIDA MALL CELEBRATES DINING PAVILION AND
CRAYOLA EXPERIENCE GRAND OPENINGS WITH
Simon, a global leader in retail real estate, is thrilled to announce the official Grand Opening of The Florida Mall’s newly-added Dining Pavilion and the center’s newest attraction, Crayola Experience, on Wednesday, July 1.
The 105,000 square-foot Dining Pavilion houses an enviable collection of unique dining options, additional retailers, an expanded seating area and state-of-the-art customer amenities including free Wi-Fi throughout the shopping center. Located between American Girl and Dillard’s on the north side of the mall, the Dining Pavilion offers a total of 23 restaurants, five of which are new-to-market concepts. In addition to new dining options, the Dining Pavilion will also feature five new retailers. The restaurants and retailers will open in phases throughout the summer and fall.
Orlando’s newest family attraction, Crayola Experience will celebrate their official Grand Opening on Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m. before doors open to the public at 10 a.m. Families will have the opportunity to meet the Crayola characters, Tip and Pip, and take part in the colorful fun of grand opening day!
The 70,000 square-foot Crayola Experience, a colorful family attraction, features 25 hands-on attractions that offer hours of creative fun to keep the whole family entertained. Additionally, the two-story attraction houses a 6,000 square-foot Crayola Store that offers the widest variety of Crayola products and souvenirs, including items specially created in The Florida Mall’s signature color, Orchid. In celebration of the Grand Openings of the Dining Pavilion and Crayola Experience, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a day of free, family-friendly fun throughout the mall. From 1 – 3 p.m., The Florida Mall invites all chefs in the making to the Kidgits Lil Chef’s event, in the E Court outside of the Dining Pavilion, to learn about the art of cooking. Mad Science will be onsite from 12 – 4 p.m. outside by American Girl providing light and color shows, and interactive activity stations for kids to enjoy. Additionally, there will be face painters, roaming stilt walkers and themed characters interacting with guests. Lastly, there will be great opportunities offered throughout the day to register-to-win shopping sprees, win special swag bags, and shoppers may even receive a surprise and delight gift from management. To make shopping easier, a customer convenience shuttle will be available throughout the day.
