Orange County Animal Services is hosting a “free” pet wellness day for all Orange County Pets on Sunday, April 19th. This event will include free pet rabies vaccinations and free pet microchipping.

Why do I need a rabies vaccine?
- A rabies vaccination will shield your pet from contracting the rabies virus.
Is a microchip necessary?
- A microchip is the most effective way to reunite with your pet if they are ever lost. A microchip is a small device, roughly the size of a grain of rice, that is inserted near a pet’s shoulder blades and the device displays a number when it is scanned. Once registered, this number correlates with the pet owner’s information, which can be obtained through a microchip registration company. The microchipping service is free, pet owners can then register their pet through the microchip company for $9.95.
Adopt a Cat – Adoption fee waived in April
If you’re looking to add a feline to your family, don’t miss Microchip Mania! During the month of April, all cat and kitten adoption fees are waived when you register your new feline’s microchip onsite for just $9.95!
