Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Is Celebrating 40 Years At Disney World

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is celebrating 40 years at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. If you haven’t experienced this Walt Disney World dinner show, what are you waiting for? Get ready to have a “Raise the Roof” good time! Your foot will be stomping and hands clapping as you sing along to familiar tunes like the Hokey Pokey! Hoop-Dee-Doo is a frontier-style family fun production. Kids of ALL ages will enjoy this timeless show since it contains music and family comedy for everyone.

An added bonus is the all-you-can-eat menu which is filled with southern deliciousness. The price includes beverages (sodas, teas, juice, milk, coffee, wine, beer and sangria are included). There are also speciality drinks for adults and kids available for an additional charge.

Get ready to chow down on some of the crispiest fried chicken you’ll ever sink your teeth into! Seriously, the chicken was out of this world! If you are a BBQ lover, prepare to get messy with the smoked barbecue pork ribs. In addition to those two meats, you will also enjoy salad, cornbread, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and cowboy beans. Make sure to save room for some Straw-Berry-Short-Cake!

I had the pleasure of listening to Tom Vazzana, Show Director talk about the cast, show and how it has been a success for the past 40 years. The Hoop-Dee-Doo cast oozes with passion! The banjo player has been there since day 1 and a smile never left his face. My favorite part of the entire show was when he and Six Bits played dueling banjos (well, banjo versus ukelele).

In addition to the in-depth Q&A session from Tom, I also learned about the horses who live at the beautiful ranch. Basically, all the horses from Walt Disney World call the Tri-Circle-D Ranch home – including Cinderella’s white horses! We were able to spend some time learning about the Headless Horseman’s horse. I highly encourage everyone to explore the ranch and all it has to offer (watch the blacksmith make horseshoes and affix them to horses’ hooves, ride horses through the trails, and/or take a wagon or carriage ride)!
