Orlando Area Summer Camps For Kids

Summer is just around the corner so I have been researching camps for our soon to be Kindergartner! Here’s my list of kid camps in the Central Florida area.

SummerCamp

For animal lovers, check these out!

  • SeaWorld Summer Camps offer the following age/grade categories to choose from: Preschool, Grades K to 1, Grades 2 to 3, Grades 4 to 5 and Grades 6 to 8. Full details for all SeaWorld summer camps can be found here.
  • The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens in Sanford has summer programs and a variety of fun for children ages 6 – 12. Summer Adventures information can be found here.
  • Brevard Zoo in Melbourne offers a variety of summer camp programs for children (grades 1 to 9). Details can be found here.

If you have a space lover or an aspiring astronaut, check out the following:

  • Kennedy Space Center in Titusville offers summer camps for students  in 2nd – 9th grade and run weekly from June 10 to August 9. Information can be found at here.

For those who love nature, exploring and learning about the environment:

  • Leu Gardens in downtown Orlando has a Junior Garden Detective Camp (children must have completed Kindergarten or 1st grade) and Garden Detective Camps (must have completed 2nd or 3rd grade) and Garden Explorers Camp (must have completed 4th or 5th grade). You can see all camp details here.
  • Mead Botanical Gardens in North Orlando has a Young Natrualist Camp for children ages 5 – 12. You can learn more about their week long programs here.

Camps involving sports:

  • Central Flordia YMCA‘s offer holiday camps, you can find the details and search by your location here.
  • RDV Sportsplex Athletic Club also has a huge lineup of summer camps! You can see the entire list here.

Educational camps:

  • Orlando Science Center has a variety of weekly educational camps broken down by ages/grades. There are numerous subjects your kids can enjoy and learn, including science and nature, space and astronomy, archaeology, math, computers, robotics, and even cooking! All the camps are centered on educating students in a hands-on entertaining but educational manner.
