Have you ever heard a song for the first time and wanted the radio to play it over and over again? That’s how I felt about Justin Timberlake’s song “Suit and Tie“. I knew immediately I HAD TO BUY the CD and put that song on repeat, plus I was curious about the other tracks! JT waited 6 years between albums, he took his time and made The 20/20 Experience perfect (which I appreciate)! Timbaland is also writer/producer for this album, and we all know when Timberlake and Timbaland collaborate, pure awesomeness is created!
Every single time “Suit and Tie” is on the radio, my 4 year old yells “mommy your song is on again” and he cranks up the volume. There’s something about the beat, it’s one of those songs you could care less who is in the car beside you, your head bops and you sing as loud as you can! I play it while running and my legs go a LOT faster!
When I heard Walmart has JT’s new CD “The 20/20 Experience” for the special price of $7 during release week, I didn’t waste any time. I jumped in my car on 3/19 because I KNOW this CD will fly off the shelves (and I wanted mine on release day)!
I sprinted to electronics to claim my prize, and I may have squealed when I spotted The 20/20 Experience on the “New Release Music” display.

I felt like leaping in the air and clicking my ankles together. I thought about running up to complete strangers and announcing the price. Instead, I grabbed my copy and held it over my head proudly, like a football player who just received a Superbowl trophy! My 4 year old son laughed hysterically and attempted to capture my excitement, but his photo taking ability is limited and the photos turned out blurry.
In addition to being on that display, there were copies sprinkled all around the CD section. I checked alphabetically and found it filed near “Timbaland”.
It was also on display in the music spotlight specially price CD section.

Immediately after checking out, I opened the CD and popped it in! My son and I enjoyed the album as we drove home (and sat in traffic). Listening to JT’s masterpiece, I didn’t seem to mind the congested interstate. The 20/20 Experience is exactly as I expected… funky and fresh, with an old school vibe. Honestly, all the songs are great. JT may have tested our patience with the 6 year gap, but he rewarded us with a smashing album!
