Underwear shopping, isn’t that something every man dreads? I am assuming underwear is just one of those things men don’t think of when shopping, so I am taking it upon myself to upgrade my husband’s drawers! I tend to throw out his old ones when I notice they are getting worn out, but have neglected to purchase new ones. It is time!
I mentioned this task to my son and he was so excited, he suggested daddy should have Angry Bird undies like him…but I am not so sure about that! So, after dropping him off at preschool, I decided to do some underwear shopping.
Mario Lopez has an underwear line at Kmart called MaLo (twitter hashtag is #MaLoUnderwear)! I cannot tell you how many Saturday mornings I spent watching Mario, or should I say A.C. Slater, on Saved By The Bell. What a heart throb! Those dimples! So, I drove to Kmart on a mission to find the MaLo display.

The MaLo display was organized by size and style (3 packs of boxer briefs, 3 packs of briefs and t-shirts). The packaging is really cool and looked the same for all items, so it was necessary to turn the packages over to see product colors (or read Kmart’s bar code which indicated colors). I decided on basic black and grey boxer briefs.
Best part of all, there was a sale sign at the top indicating MaLo underwear was on sale for $11.99 versus the normal $14.99.
I made my way to the checkout counter with my Shop Your Way Rewards VIP card. The only problem encountered was that the sale price didn’t ring up, so the cashier had to call a manager over. The manager ran back to the MaLo display and saw the sale signs and then adjusted the price. They were very apologetic about the mishap and friendly, but it really wasn’t a big deal. But, I was happy to save $6!

All in all, it was an easy transaction! Best part of all, my husband’s underwear drawer has been updated with six new pairs of #MaLoUnderwear!

He likes the new boxer briefs, says they are soft and comfortable. After being laundered a few times, the color is still vibrant and they are holding together nicely.
