Fourth Of July Family Fun #GrabSummerFun #CBias

The Fourth of July makes me reflect on our country’s freedom and family traditions! This holiday means family fun, fireworks and good food! I also take this time to pray for the men and women fighting for our country, words cannot express my gratitude!

My childhood celebrations included a good old fashion bbq, ice cream, and sparklers (but to be honest, I am terrified of fireworks after a childhood mishap so I leave the fireworks to the professionals)! My family hit Walmart for our #GrabSummerFun shopping experience, you can access our Google+ album here.

This year, we had a simple 4th of July celebration in our backyard then enjoyed special treats from Tombstone pizza and Nestle Drumsticks. Afterwards, we hit Disney World for amazing fireworks! We’ve had a crazy couple of weeks with last minute traveling for a funeral, so a little R&R was in order! Also, it was in the mid 90’s with high humidity, so I cannot think of more fun than a kiddie pool, water guns and yummy foods!

My son enjoyed his VERY FIRST Drumstick ice cream (a Lil’ Drum which is the perfect size). See how he responded…

First bite:

His response was “I love this mommy” as he teased showed the dog!

Little did he realize, the dog was watching his every move. The MOMENT his attention was somewhere else, she went in for a bite!

But, he continued eating it anyway. 🙂 A little dog slobber won’t hurt anyone! Good to the very last bite!

Then, we came inside to cool off which meant, time for Tombstone Pizzas! We selected one large half and half pizza (half pepperoni and half cheese) and a package of individual deep dish pepperoni pizzas.

I was so excited when I found deep dish Tombstone hidden gems at Walmart! I personally LOVE individual sized pizzas, so these seemed perfect!

So, I prepped our pizzas for the oven…I added fresh veggies to the cheese side of the half and half (to convince myself it was somewhat healthy). The end result, all were so tasty!

 The Tombstones smelled heavenly cooking!

While they were cooking, we attempted to make patriotic fruit flags. Here is a photo of one that somewhat resembled a flag (we tried, but most importantly we had fun)!

The Tombstones cooked perfectly!

And OMG the chocolate drumsticks are THE BOMB!!!!!

We eneded our 4th of July celebration with fireworks at Epcot. I asked my son if he wanted ice cream while at the park and he said he wanted a Drumstick! Smart boy!
