As I mentioned last week, I hit my goal weight of 135 lbs but decided to keep going in hopes of dropping a few more pounds (new goal weight of 125 – 130 lbs).
This week, I remained focused on the 5&1 Medifast plan with 3 oz of added lean protein mid-day (my awesome dietician suggested this change months ago and it has made a HUGE difference to my hunger level) and continued my usual running routine…and guess what, I am still shrinking!
My son took this photo before I hit the streets for a run mid-week. I saw it and realized I have truly shrunk!
I am VERY close to considering maintenance and transition now, which is exciting and SCARY at the same time! Isn’t it funny how in our minds we have a scale number we hope to someday achieve, but the reality is that is NOT what we should focus on. Perhaps I weighed 125 YEARS ago (I am 5 foot 7.5 inches tall), but I have never worn a pair of size 4 jeans comfortably like I do now. I feel GREAT and I am HEALTHY, which is all that matters!
Here is my weight loss breakdown since January 1, 2012:
Month 1: -19 lbs
Month 2: -7.5 lbs
Month 3: -8.7 lbs lost
Week 13: -2.6 lbs
Current weight: 132.2 lbs
