How many times have you received messages asking for values to be marked down or declared as a “gift” on international custom forms? I receive these requests all the time. Instead of continuously typing the same response, I point the ebayer to my customized “International Shipping” page which outlines my policies.
I searched “customs fraud” on eBay and here is what I discovered. “Buyers aren’t allowed to ask sellers to falsify customs declarations or mark an item as a “gift” in order to avoid customs fees. Customs fraud is prohibited as part of our policy against encouraging illegal activity. If a buyer asks you to commit customs fraud, report it to us”.

If a buyer leaves negative feedback or threatens it, this is an abuse of eBay’s feedback system and against the rules. A buyer can’t threaten to leave a seller negative Feedback if that seller won’t do something that wasn’t promised in the original listing. Review the complete feedback policy.
