Ringling Bros. Ambassadors of Laughter Clown Around Orlando

Central Floridians are in for some good-natured fun on December 2nd, 10th and 11th when “Ambassadors of Laughter,” clowns from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey®, make special appearances in the region to entertain and interact with the public. The Ambassadors of Laughter will charge attendees’ funny bones with lighthearted antics that offer a sneak preview of Fully Charged, the all-new 141st Edition of The Greatest Show On Earth® playing the Amway Center this January.

On Thursday, December 2nd, clowns will blend the magic of the circus with the importance of reading during Reading with Ringling Day, special presentations at six libraries in Orange and Osceola counties.

After a lively rendition of a circus-themed book, they’ll engage the audience with juggling, plate spinning and other silly and dynamic demonstrations previewing The Greatest Show on Earth®.  The clowns will give away book marks and clown noses (while supplies last).  The library events are free and everyone is invited.

The silliness continues on Friday and Saturday, December 10th and 11th, in Loch Haven Park.  On Friday at 9:30-11:30 a.m. and Saturday at 1:00-3:00 p.m., clowns will visit the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) with hands-on educational art projects for children.  Event tickets include gallery admission and are $10 per adult with one child; $8 for OMA members with one child; and $3 per additional child.  For more information, call 407-896-4231 or go to www.omart.org.  OMA is located at 2416 North Mills Ave., Orlando, 32803.

The clowns return to Loch Haven Park on Saturday at 10:30-11:30 a.m. to perform “Science of the Circus” at the Orlando Science Center (OSC).  With antics including balancing on a high wire the way acrobats do in the circus, the clowning team makes learning science fun and comical.  The performance is included with paid admission to OSC, which is $17 for adults, $12 for kids (ages 3-11), and free for Science Center members.  Guests will have a chance to win family four-packs to see the circus.  For more information, call 407-514-2000 or go to www.osc.org.
