I don’t know about you, but I love shopping online! Why spend gas money driving to the mall, fighting for parking spaces, and then walking from store to store trying to find the perfect gift? That is way too stressful! I like finding bargains and will not pay retail for anything. I wanted to pass along some tips so you can get the best prices possible this holiday season.
- Open Google Product Search.
- For the most accurate search results, type in the exact product you are looking for (e.g. “Pampers Cruisers Size 4”).
- Google will supply a list of sites that offer the specific item you are researching along with the price. There is a drop down list on the top right-hand side that allows you to sort by Relevance, Price: low to high, Price: high to low, Product Rating and Seller Rating).
- You can also quickly find out if any of the sites listed offer free shipping by selecting Free Shipping in the “Show Only” section which is located at the top left-hand side of the screen.
I faithfully use this process when purchasing online and have found it to be very worthwhile.
Another trick to saving money is to locate promotional or coupon codes that you can use while checking out. All you need to do is search by the retailer name and the words “coupon” or “promotion” codes (see what phrase is used on the merchant check out page for best search results). Retailmenot.com and CouponCabin.com are two sites that I have found very useful for locating money saving codes.
