#Medifast Launches New Products: Cereals, Puffs & Ready-To-Drink Mocha Shake

Medifast has added 5 new meal products to their line-up! I love crunchy munchies AND convenience, so seeing these new products makes me happy. You can just open and enjoy, there’s no mixing or microwaving! I was most excited about the Cinnamon & Brown Sugar and Mixed Berry Cereal Crunch. When I was on plan, my main breakfast items were oatmeal and pancakes. The cereals are a nice change up, especially if you like crunchy foods. Both are full of flavor, but I especially like the Mixed Berry! Here are the…

Staying The Course

It’s been awhile since I’ve talked about Medifast (I have been maintaining since April 2012). To be perfectly honest, my life has been quite chaotic lately so my blog updates have suffered. My apologies. As for my weight, I am staying the course and happy to report smooth sailing. I didn’t realize my last update was after my vacation (a month and a half ago)! Wow, seriously, I have lost total track of time! But, all is well. The transition has been simple and eating healthy and exercising regularly is normal!  I…

Vacationing AND Maintaining (Medifast Week 18)

Took a trip which involved visiting family, Virginia wineries and the beautiful city of Washington, DC. Prior to leaving, I packed my suitcase with Medifast bars. Even though I am in maintenance mode, I still eat several Medifast meals per day. I knew going into the trip I was not going to stay on plan 100%, but my goal was to enjoy foods and drinks in moderation and NOT completely fall off plan. In addition, I packed my running shoes with the intention of using! While visiting my parents, I…

Transitioning Into Medifast Maintenance (Week 16)

I recently decided to transition into maintenance mode. While losing a total of 40 pounds would have been a nice even number, I am beyond thrilled with losing 39 lbs! My original goal was to lose 35 lbs, so not only did I achieve my initial goal but I exceeded it! Even though I have shrunk in size, I have grown in so many ways! I had some concerns (changing what has worked so well) and shared those with my dietitian. After a pep talk from him and chatting with…

Medifast On The Go Foods Fit My Lifestyle: Week 15 Update

Crazy busy, that’s been my life lately. One thing that has been constant is Medifast! Thanks to their “on the go” meals, I am always prepared if and when hunger knocks. I do not allow myself to be starving without having a Medifast meal close-by! A few evenings, I found myself strapped for time so my family hit fast food. Did I stress? Not at all! I can order a lean and green meal pretty much anywhere, it just takes a little more discipline and menu studying. At Chick-Fil-A, I…

Survived A Crazy Week 14 On Medifast

To put it mildly, I have had a crazy week which didn’t allow many running miles (although I do believe Spring cleaning counts as a workout). On the days I did have the opportunity to lace up my sneakers, I definitely noticed my pace is faster and my endurance is stronger (even in the Florida heat). As far as diet, I stayed on plan with a few minor exceptions. Today while shopping at the Florida Mall, I spotted this! I love that it was placed over top the children’s play…

Medifast Week 13: I Am Shrinking

As I mentioned last week, I hit my goal weight of 135 lbs but decided to keep going in hopes of dropping a few more pounds (new goal weight of 125 – 130 lbs). This week, I remained focused on the 5&1 Medifast plan with 3 oz of added lean protein mid-day (my awesome dietician suggested this change months ago and it has made a HUGE difference to my hunger level) and continued my usual running routine…and guess what, I am still shrinking! My son took this photo before I…

Medifast Week 12 Update – Goal Achieved & New Goal Set

Wow, I did it! Not only did I achieve my goal weight, but I am actually below it! My Saturday morning weigh-in was 134.8 lbs! How did I celebrate? I am not feeling 100%, had to see the doctor on Friday (if you haven’t been following my journey from the beginning, I had an upper respiratory infection in January that turned into pneumonia). Now, I’m on my third antibiotic in 2012, this time for sinusitis. But, I did buy myself two new pairs of size 4 Levis jeans and a really cute size small…
