Adopt A New Best Friend And Save A Life #woofyeah #MilkBone

If you’ve been a regular blog follower, you probably remember posts about my beloved Bailey. She was my pampered pooch for 13 wonderful years. Truth be told, my heart hasn’t healed since she crossed Rainbow Bridge. While I miss having a furry companion, I know the amount of care required and how much time a dog needs and deserves. Being a homeschooling mom with a child in travel sports doesn’t offer ideal conditions for raising a dog. We travel frequently and know a dog doesn’t fit with our active lifestyle. With that said, my son and I visit our local animal shelter regularly to drop…

Every year, 6.4 million tons of plastic are dumped into the ocean. We’ve produced more plastic in the last ten years than we produced in the entire last century! This abuse of plastic has led to a collection of plastic marine debris known as “The Great Pacific Garbage Patch” spanning from North America to Japan. Check out the infographic below to learn more! Gianna’s Heart of Hope Foundation #30DaysOfCaring Day 29

Day 29 of #30DaysOfCaring has Gianna’s Heart of Hope Foundation in the spotlight. This non-profit charity helps families battling childhood cancer. This foundation was created by Jennifer and Michael LaBarbera in loving memory of their beautiful daughter Gianna Nicole.   I recently learned about this group from a photo that warmed my heart. It was absolutely beautiful, a 5-year-old girl with leukemia was self-conscious about losing her hair until she received a visit from a bald princess. This amazing story was featured on the Today Show as well as The View. Visit here…
