Holiday Cards For Heroes #30DaysofCaring Day 1

On my list for day 1 of #30DaysofCaring is creating holiday cards for heroes. The American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program delivers support to members of the armed forces, veterans and their families. Local Red Cross offices will collect, sort, and distribute the holiday cards using an events-based approach in their local communities. The website indicates the Connecticut and Rhode Island chapters of the American Red Cross are participating. Volunteering and bringing awareness to deserving charities and organizations is something I am passionate about. My entire family gets involved. These types of lessons (acts of kindness and compassion) cannot be taught from a book, they must be experienced.
