Summer is here which means throwing outdoor parties, spending quality time with friends and family and just enjoying the outdoors. My family recently purchased and renovated an older home with a tropical backyard. We have brick courtyards and walkways that lead to a beautiful space filled with ferns, oversized oaks, a lemon tree, fountains and plenty of shade to cool off from the hot Florida sunshine and humidity. It’s the perfect space to kick back with a book, sip on wine and relax…but something was missing. I decided to check out BJ’s Wholesale Club because I heard they have a huge outdoor entertaining collection at budget friendly prices!
My son and I arrived with our trial membership to check out BJ’s. The moment we walked through the door, his eyes lit up. He spotted an outdoor playground HE thought would be perfect for outdoor entertaining. I had other thoughts for my peaceful space, but let him dream anyways.
We started looking around, there was so much that I wanted! The outdoor selection was amazing and the prices were really good!
I recently purchased a new grill otherwise, I probably would have grabbed the red one pictured below.
BJ’s has you covered for all your party needs! From household items, paper products, dips, meats, produce (even organic), munchies, and beverages, BJ’s is a one stop shop!
The outdoor seating and patio section was nice, too! We have two decks, a side courtyard and a back courtyard…so we are always looking for seating options.
We also have a container garden (flowers, herbs, vegetables and fruit bearing tress), so I squealed when I saw a composter! I have been wanting one for the longest time. But, since that doesn’t really help with outdoor entertaining, I decided to pass (but I will be returning)! They also have mosquito repellent in bulk (a necessity in Florida)! Some other courtyard items I drooled over consisted of speakers shaped like bird houses, solar lanterns, lights, and slate stepping stones (they resembled a hidden Mickey head).
Ultimately, I decided to purchase a Deluxe weather resistant Polyester Rope Hammock with pillow and heavy duty hanging hardware. I have 2 perfect trees outback that are just screaming for a hammock (plus BJ’s price was too good to pass up, $69.99)! The hammock will be a perfect spot for guests (and my family) to just relax.
