Medifast Update – YOU Are Worth It!

I receive a LOT of questions about the cost of Medifast and whether the program is worth the investment. My response is typically “are YOU worth the investment?“. If you are looking to improve your health, appearance, confidence AND willing to make a commitment, then YES it is worth it.

The cost for 5 Medifast meals is about $11 per day. Think about how much money you spend at coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries, the grocery store, etc. Once you do the math, you will realize $11 a day is not unreasonable.

BUT, I also stress this program takes work AND commitment. Sure, using Medifast products alone will help you lose weight but you must be disciplined when it comes to making your lean and green meal, using condiments appropriately AND exercising. All of these elements are necessary for you to have optimal success and achieve your goal. You make lifestyle changes with Medifast, it is NOT a quick fix. If you CAN be disciplined and believe YOU are worth the investment, then this program IS FOR YOU!

It was easy to stay motivated while on plan because the scale kept moving in the right direction. Also, the food tastes good. I started on January 1, 2012 and decided to transition into maintenance around week 16 when I exceeded my original weight loss goals. At the time of my transition (end of April), I was weighing in at 131 for a total loss of 39 lbs. Fast forward to mid-October and I am weighing in at 136 lbs. Some may gasp and say “OMG, you gained 5 lbs back” but the truth of the matter is I have increased my distance running which requires more calories and I also run hill intervals and sprints for strengthening. While my scale reflects a higher number, my clothes are looser than ever and I feel great. For instance, I ran 7.25 miles this week in 60 minutes. I also ran a lap at our local track (1/4 mile) in 1 minute and 28 seconds! Not bad for a 35 year old. I am honestly in the best shape of my life and it feels simply amazing! I am contemplating running my first 1/2 marathon next month!
