Summer Fun With Nestle Drumsticks and Tombstone Pizza #GrabSummerFun

Summer is here which means tons of activities that have parents driving (or in my case walking since we are a one car family) the kid all over town! Although we eat relatively healthy, sometimes bringing summer fun into meals is necessary.

When I think about summer, the first thing that comes to mind is ice cream! Who doesn’t love ice cream? My philosophy is, if you’re going to indulge occasionally, why not enjoy what you love? When I was in middle school, I used to skip lunch one or two days per week and use that money towards purchasing Drumsticks every day (ok, so maybe that is not indulging “occasionally”… but at least you can see how much I love these things)!

I want to share my obsession love of Drumsticks with my son, so our 4th of July #GrabSummerFun celebration will DEFINITELY include Drumsticks. I’m anxious to see his reaction when he bites into one and tastes the sweetness of the ice cream mixed with crunchy chocolate and nuts! Oh, and my favorite part (which I’m curious to see if it’s his also) is the last bite of the sugar cone since it has ooey gooey ice cream mixed with hard chocolate!

Now, I do not claim to be creative, but I found these home made Ice Cream Drumsticks on Pinterest by aspicyperspective.com and I am more than impressed! They are festive and perfect for a Fourth of July celebration! I also love the egg carton stand, how cool is that?!?!

But, I am sticking to these because it is simple to open the packaging and enjoy immediately. I had NO CLUE there were so many varieties!

My 4 year old just discovered his love for pizza so if you ask him what he wants to eat, 9 times out of 10 he is going to say “pizza”. Everywhere we go he asks people “hey, do you like pizza” and then he is in a conversation about the best pizza and which toppings he likes (he loves “peppyroni”). So, what better way to have a summer gathering than with ice cream and pizza? I’m thinking some water fun (water guns, bubbles and a kiddie pool to cool off  in) then fun summer treats! It’s easy to grab summer fun with quick, delicious foods like Nestle Drumsticks and Tombstone Pizza!

My entire family stopped by a newly discovered Walmart yesterday to grab necessities and it seemed like the perfect time to purchase summer fun items!

You can follow our Walmart shopping experience by clicking here.

After gathering our list items (I made a list and left it lying on my counter…so I had to rely on my memory. Yes, I forgot a few items!), we headed to the frozen food section. First we hit the pizza section to see the Tombstones! I never knew Tombstone made individual deep dish pizzas! There were not located with the other large, round Tombstones but instead in the individual pizza section!

We made our final selection (yes, beer is a necessity) and headed to the checkout. The cashier was friendly, we had a good shopping experience!

I couldn’t possibly walk away from the deep dish pizzas, I felt as though I found a hidden gem. I also decided on the half & half Tombstone so I can add fresh vegetable toppings to the cheese side. As for Drumsticks, I loved the size of the Lil’ Drums, they seem like the perfect size for my little guy’s hands.

It was VERY difficult NOT to open a Drumstick and enjoy it on the way home, I swear they were taunting me. But, I refrained!

Stay tuned to see our #GrabSummerFun party! In the meantime, make sure to check out the Walmart Brand Site for Nestle, Drumstick on Facebook and Tombstone Pizza on Facebook!
