I am excited to announce that Mindy Ortiz, volunteer at our local Second Harvest Food Bank, has been nominated as Central Florida’s Most Deserving Mom to win a makeover!

I wanted to share this about Mindy so you can see the impact she has in our community! Not only does she take care of her own family, but she also makes sure hungry families are fed! In addition to her compassion towards others, she has also recently lost 40 lbs!
In her eight years at Second Harvest, Mindy has overseen tremendous growth in the number of people who donate their time to our cause. Last fiscal year, she managed more than 10,000 volunteers who put in a collective 35,000 hours – helping us distribute more than 30 million pounds of grocery products to our partner agencies. She does it all with a warm personality and constant smile that communicates how much we appreciate our volunteers.
