It Hit Me, Literally…

We took our little train conductor to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Saturday evening. What a party! You can read my review here, but I wanted to write about a VERY important lesson I learned that night.

First, there is endless candy from Goofy’s Candy Company being distributed throughout the park. Since my son does not eat much candy, he was on a sugar high. When we walked by the Mad Tea Party Ride (aka Tea Cups) he begged to ride. I knew from previous trips to the Magic Kingdom that he does well on this ride so without hesitation, we jumped on. We rode it the first time and he begged to go again. We rode it again and of course he begged to go for a third time, but thankfully I spotted an Orlando blogging friend Lee from My Sentiment ExactLee and we visited with her family. Notice the shirt I am wearing in the photo (click photos to enlarge). After we said our goodbyes, we made our way to the parade area.

My son was sitting on daddy’s shoulders getting ready to watch the parade and all of the sudden started crying for me. It was really bizarre, but I grabbed him down. The second he was hugging me, it all of the sudden hit me (literally). His stomach must have been churning from the tea cups and candy mixture and needless to say, he let me know without warning!

Now, notice the shirt I am wearing in the last photo. I am not going to go into details but all I can say is candy, tea cups and a toddler DO NOT MIX! Thankfully, the park was very dark and no one noticed when I snuck into a store and purchased a new shirt.

I also owe a big thank you to the lovely cast member who gave me a rubber band to pull my hair back after I washed it in the bathroom sink! That was a lifesaver!
