‘Tis The Season

RedCupThere is one thing that puts me immediately into the holiday spirit and that is when Starbucks switches from their traditional cups to the red ones. I’m not sure what it is about these cups, but they make me so happy. When the barista calls my name and my hot Peppermint Mocha is ready, I drift into another place. I think of cold winters and the smell of freshly fallen snow. I have visions of trying to catch snow flakes on my tongue and making snow angels while bundled in layers of clothing. Then, I step outside and reality hits me in the face…along with the 90 degree Florida temperatures and I am quickly whisked back.

  1. Oh I am with you! I love this time of the year. I am a true Christmas dork!!!

  2. My husband thinks I’m a nut, I’ve been listening to Christmas music since mid-October. 🙂

  3. I couldn’t agree with you more! I love seeing those red holiday cups! They, for some strange reason, evoke this romantic feeling of taking walks with my husband, warming my hands on the warm cup and looking at christmas lights.

Jess, I was at Starbucks today and saw that they are now selling Christmas ornaments. Guess what they are? That’s right, tiny red Starbucks cups made of ceramic! I thought of you when I saw them!

  5. I bought a red cup ornament last year, when I saw it, I couldn’t resist it. I’m wondering if Starbucks will change the ornament designs each year like they change the cup design. If so, I see me spending money on a yearly Christmas ornament. 🙂
