My Hair Is Falling Out

How much hair can one person lose? I mean seriously, the Cancer Society could make wigs from the amount of hair that falls out of my head daily! I read that it is common for a woman’s hair to fall out after giving birth, but can someone please tell me when it stops? My husband believes something must be wrong with me since our shower is constantly clogged. I guess it’s time to buy stock in Drano or Liquid Plumber!

I cannot tell you how many times I see my son concentrating on something and upon further inspection, I realize he has a piece of my long hair tangled in his little fingers. He recently decided it’s fun to chew on strands that he finds lying around. How gross is that? I have to swift daily in order to keep the hair out of my son’s mouth. I shed worse than our golden retriever! I should be bald by now, but my hair is still thick and full.

At any given time, I can run my fingers through my hair and lose about 20 strands. When I run a comb through my wet hair, I lose approximately 50 strands! I have also noticed about 3 inches of flyaway fuzz that has accumulated around my temples (this is really quite attractive when I wear a pony tail). Enough is enough already!

I appreciate in advance any advice my mommy friends can offer!

Thanks for visiting The Unemployed Mom.
